REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED and valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment that may require heavy physical duties and frequent standing, bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling.
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Constructive team player with a positive attitude
- Detail-oriented and focused on quality workmanship
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY:
- Experience working with automotive electrical systems, mechanical systems, and/or body work.
- Completion of a trade school, vocational high school, or equivalent with courses in general shop and automotive repair
- ASE Automotive Technician or EVT Emergency Vehicle Technician certified
DUTIES:
- Installing all equipment necessary to modify brand-new vehicles into police and emergency vehicles.
- Routing and installing wire harnesses, controllers, partitions, auxiliary batteries, light bars, push bumpers, power supplies, component trays, and consoles.
- Disassembling and reassembling factory vehicles
- Expected to read drawings, including electrical schematics with limited help.
- Find process efficiencies while respecting work quality
- Maintain accurate records
